Local service, personal accountability, and no fine print — here's the difference.
Everything you need to know about our service.
For most households with 1–2 dogs, we recommend weekly service. This keeps your yard consistently clean and prevents any buildup. If you have 3+ dogs or a smaller yard, weekly is definitely the way to go. We also offer bi-weekly service as a budget-friendly option — though for most dog owners, weekly keeps things much more manageable.
Nope! As long as we have access to your backyard (usually through a gate code or unlocked gate), you don't need to be home at all. We'll send you a text message when we arrive and again when we're finished. It works out perfectly for customers who are away during the day.
We work in light rain — a little drizzle won't stop us! In the event of severe weather like thunderstorms or tropical weather (we're in Hampton Roads, after all), we'll reschedule your visit to the next available day that week. We'll always notify you in advance and make sure your service isn't skipped.
We bag all waste and remove it from your property entirely — we don't leave it in your trash cans. We're conscious of our local environment, especially the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Pet waste contains harmful bacteria and nutrients that can damage local waterways, so responsible disposal matters to us.
We cover most neighborhoods across Chesapeake (including Great Bridge, Deep Creek, Greenbrier, and Hickory), Virginia Beach (Kempsville, Princess Anne, Pembroke, and more), and Norfolk (Ghent, Ocean View, Larchmont, and surrounding areas). If you're unsure whether we cover your neighborhood, just reach out — we'll let you know right away.
Absolutely not. We have no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime with just 5 days' notice. We believe our service should speak for itself — not a contract. We also offer a satisfaction guarantee: if we miss a spot, contact us within 24 hours and we'll come back for free.
Yes — we service year-round including during Hampton Roads hurricane season (June–November). If a major storm forces us to skip a scheduled visit, we'll reschedule at no extra charge and make sure your yard is cleaned as soon as conditions are safe. We recommend scheduling a cleanup before a big storm so waste doesn't spread across your yard during flooding. Our one-time cleanup service is perfect for pre- or post-storm cleanup.
Yes — that's our satisfaction guarantee. If we miss anything on your visit, contact us within 24 hours and we'll come back and re-scoop at no charge. We take full responsibility for every visit and want every customer to be happy with the result every single time.
Absolutely. Life happens — vacations, home repairs, family visits. Just let us know at least 2 days in advance and we'll skip your visit or pause your service without any fees or hassle. When you're ready to resume, we'll pick right back up on your regular schedule. No contracts means no penalty for flexibility.
Yes! We serve specific neighborhoods throughout our service area — including Great Bridge, Greenbrier, Deep Creek, and Western Branch in Chesapeake, and Kempsville, Pembroke, Princess Anne, Lynnhaven, and Red Mill in Virginia Beach. If you're unsure about your specific neighborhood, just reach out — we'll confirm right away.
Simple — your weekly rate is multiplied by 4 visits and charged every 4 weeks. For 1 dog at $20/week, you're charged $80 every 4 weeks. The billing cycle never varies, so you always know exactly what to expect.
Dog waste is more than just an eyesore — it's a genuine health and environmental hazard for your family, your pets, and your neighbors.
If you're a dog owner in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, or Norfolk, you already know the challenge: keeping your yard clean feels like a never-ending chore. But beyond the mess, untreated pet waste creates real risks that most homeowners underestimate. That's why professional pet waste removal isn't just a convenience — it's a smart investment in your family's well-being.
Dog feces can carry E. coli, Salmonella, roundworms, giardia, and parvovirus. These pathogens remain active in soil for months and are easily transmitted to children playing in the yard or other pets. Weekly dog poop cleanup in Norfolk VA and surrounding areas eliminates this risk before it builds up.
Pet waste is high in nitrogen, which burns grass and creates dead patches in your lawn. Rain washes the runoff into storm drains, ultimately polluting the Chesapeake Bay watershed — something every Hampton Roads resident should care about. Our yard cleaning service in Chesapeake Virginia protects both your lawn and the local waterways.
The average dog owner spends 30–60 minutes per week managing pet waste. Our pooper scooper service in Virginia Beach gives that time back to you — and at just $20/week for weekly service, it's one of the most affordable ways to reclaim your yard and your weekend.
Whether you need pet waste removal in Chesapeake VA, a reliable pooper scooper service in Virginia Beach, or routine dog poop cleanup in Norfolk VA, Tidewater Pet Waste Removal is your trusted local solution. We handle the dirty work so you can enjoy your yard worry-free.
